Nikolai Ssorin-Chaikov

Nikolai Ssorin-Chaikov teaches social anthropology at HSE St Petersburg and is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Social Anthropology. He is the author of Two Lenins: A Brief Anthropology of Time (2017) and The Social Life of the State in Subarctic Siberia (2003) as well as numerous articles. He has longstanding theoretical and ethnographic interests in the anthropology of the gift, state, time, and art.
