Nana Kobidze

Nana Kobidze is a PhD candidate at the department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Central European University. Her research interests include property regimes, political ecology, anthropology of the state, post-socialist transformations, and the dialogue between post-socialist and post-colonial debates. Nana defended her MA thesis with distinction in 2021 at the same department on the topic of Georgian IDPs from Abkhazia. Her thesis explored the events of 1992-93 in Abkhazia and analysed generational transmission of collective memories of war and exile. Aside from academic work, Nana has also worked on and directed documentary films.
