Alexander Vorbrugg

Alexander Vorbrugg is a senior researcher at the Institute of Geography, University of Bern. His research explores the creation, contestation, and governance of rural resources amidst political-economic and environmental disruptions. Alexander is particularly interested in the controversies and political economy surrounding post-abandonment land use. His upcoming book Dispersed Dispossession: Collective Goods, Appropriation, and Agency in Rural Russia will be published by the University of Georgia Press in Spring 2025.
